The terms that govern your use of this website and the trainings, registration, and payment flows offered through it.

By accessing the Racial Equity Institute website (racialequityinstitute.org) or using the services offered through it, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Section 1

Use of the site

You may use this website for lawful purposes related to learning about, registering for, or supporting REI's training and consulting work. You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation or security, or attempt to access areas or data you are not authorized to access.

Section 2

Intellectual property

The "Racial Equity Institute" name and logo, the Groundwater Approach, and all curricula, workshop materials, workbooks, reports, text, graphics, and other content on this site are owned by REI or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, adapt, or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written permission. Workshop materials provided to participants are licensed for personal, non-commercial use in connection with the training and may not be re-taught or redistributed.

Section 3

Registration & payment terms

When you register for a training, conference, or other service, or make a donation, you agree to provide accurate information and to the applicable fees, scheduling, hosting, cancellation, and invoicing terms — including those set out in our Guide to Hosting an REI Workshop and described in our FAQs. Payments and donations are processed by our third-party payment processor; their terms also apply. Confirmed bookings and our cancellation policy are binding as described at the time of booking.

Section 4

No warranty

This website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content is complete or current.

Section 5

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, REI and its trainers, staff, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) this website or its content.

Section 6

Third-party links

This site may link to or integrate third-party websites and platforms — including our scheduling system, payment processor, and social media. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties; your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Section 7

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in North Carolina.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version, and your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
